Welcome to TEAMtalk's General Your Say forum, where we discuss everything to do with the beautiful game.
And so it's Spain who rule the world after justice was done in Sunday's World Cup final at Soccer City in Johannesburg, with Iker Casillas lifting the trophy.
The finale to the tournament in South Africa was case of Beauty and the Beast as Holland decided to kick lumps out of Vicente Del Bosque's classy, ball-playing Spaniards, who were rewarded for their commitment to flowing football.
English referee Howard Webb needed all of his experience as a policeman as the Dutch virtually committed GBH on the men from Spain, with Nigel de Jong kicking Xabi Alonso high in the chest and Mark van Bommel getting away with downright thuggery.
John Heitinga saw red in extra-time and that proved the key as seven minutes later, star man Anders Iniesta finally broke the deadlock for the European champions, thumping home a sweet right-footed strike.
It sparked celebrations across the globe, except for in the Netherlands, as the right team won and became world champions for the first time in their history.
Congratulations Spain - and to South Africa for hosting a brilliant tournament.
