Kevin Nolan thinks new signing Ricardo Vaz Te will excite West Ham fans following his arrival from Barnsley.
The Hammers skipper is familiar with the winger as the two played together at Bolton under their current manager Sam Allardyce.
Nolan told West Ham's official website: "Obviously I worked with Vaz for years at Bolton. He has undoubted ability and one who excites the fans when he gets going.
"He'll score goals as we've seen in the Championship with Barnsley this year."
Vaz Te was one of three signings the league leaders made on deadline day with Ravel Morrison and Nicky Maynard also moving to the Boleyn Ground.
Nolan added: "I don't know much about Ravel Morrison but I've heard a lot about him. He's an exciting young talent and I know a few players at Manchester United who speak very highly of him, so hopefully he'll come here and give us something that we haven't got."
