This week, TEAMtalk.com Editor and host Simon Wilkes is joined in the studio by Spurs fan Rob McCarthy and Liverpool supporter Sam Nightingale.

The trio first get their teeth into Monday's dismissal of Mick McCarthy, who was ousted from the Wolves hot-seat just 24 hours after seeing his side demolished 5-1 by arch rivals West Brom.

TEAMtalk veteran McCarthy is baffled by the decision to axe his namesake as he doesn't believe there is anyone currently available who could do a better job, while Wilkes points to a lack of both points and progress despite a summer of fairly heavy investment in the squad.

They then turn their attention to Saturday's dramatic events at Old Trafford, where Luis Suarez's refusal to shake Patrice Evra's hand sparked a chain of events which have hogged the headlines over the weekend.

All three offer strong opinions on the subject, with Wilkes pointing out that from a footballing point of view, the Reds are on for a decent season as they're only four points off fourth place in the Premier League, could well win the Carling Cup and are going well in the FA Cup.

Moving on, McCarthy revels in Tottenham's five-star demolition of Newcastle, arguing that Spurs should still be considered title contenders.

He also offers a solution which would please both England and Tottenham fans when it comes to this summer's European Championships, with Harry Redknapp hot favourite to be the man in charge of the Three Lions.

Finally the three TEAMtalkers discuss the possibility of Tevez returning to the first-team squad at Eastlands, debating what sort of impact it could have and whether it's a good or bad idea.

The Podcast features reaction from Sir Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, Harry Redknapp and Andre Villas-Boas, with the trio also discussing the Portuguese coach's future at Stamford Bridge following Chelsea's turbulent season.
