Craig Morgan hopes Preston can pick up the points to remain in the play-off picture during a transitional period at Deepdale.
Lilywhites defender Morgan helped his side to a clean sheet in the goalless draw against Notts County on Tuesday night, North End's second game under new manager Graham Westley.
Former Stevenage boss Westley is noted in the game for a rigorous focus on fitness and nutrition and Morgan admits the club is already in the midst of a radical overhaul.
"It's definitely different, it's a new regime that's completely different to what any of us are used to so I do think it will take time," he said. "But you don't really have too much time in football, I understand that. We're halfway the season nearly and we are still six or seven points off the play-offs.
"If we could turn it round - obviously we've not been in great form - then we're still well capable of getting in the play-offs.
"It will take a little bit of time, and hopefully in the time that it is all changing we can pick up the results along the way."
