Plymouth Argyle manager Carl Fletcher hailed his side's 2-1 victory over League Two rivals Burton Albion as a big win.

Two goals from skipper Simon Walton earned Argyle all three points, their first win of 2012, and moved the Devon club off the bottom of the table.

Fletcher said: "It's a big win for us but we know if we concentrate on what we do then we don't have to worry about anyone else.

"I am obviously pleased for the lads to get their rewards because I felt we deserved it. I would have been disappointed if we didn't win because I felt we did enough to win it in the second half.

"I think in terms of the game at times it wasn't pretty, it was scrappy and very tight in the first half and in those times you have to make sure you fully concentrate and do your jobs right.

"You see that period out and then when you are in the good stages of your game that's when you can get your goals. You sometimes have to do the mundane things first to win matches and we did that well in this game."
