Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd will next week try to resurrect the deals he was unable to complete on transfer deadline day.
Boothroyd pulled off something of a coup on Tuesday by luring experienced central defender Clarke Carlisle to the club on loan from Championship side Burnley until the end of the season.
The Town boss also signed Ben Harding, previously on loan from Wycombe, on a permanent 18-month contract, while American goalkeeper Neal Kitson and young striker Lewis Wilson joined as development players until the end of the season.
However, Boothroyd did not want his mid-season recruitment drive to stop there and he will try to bring in some more players when the loan window reopens on February 7.
"I am pleased with what we have done, but I think we still need to do a couple of things," said Boothroyd at a press conference on Wednesday. "We have got a couple of targets that we just missed out on that may become available again in a week's time so we will monitor it.
"There will be a brand new set of players available now because of who has not gone, so I expect all the circulars will be flying around this week. We will have one as well and then we will just see what is available and what we can go and get."
