Bury boss Richie Barker is wary of Hartlepool's rich vein of form as he prepares to welcome Neale Cooper's side to Gigg Lane.

Pools are unbeaten in their last four games and comprehensively dispatched Carlisle 4-0 last time out.

They overcame the Shakers 3-0 at Victoria Road in September and Barker has called for his players to approach the contest with positive intent in order to settle that score.

"They had an excellent result at the weekend, albeit with Carlisle having a man sent off, but they were 2-0 up before that happened," Barker told BBC Radio Manchester. "They've had a decent run of results recently."

"We had a poor performance up there in September so we'll certainly be looking to put that right, and I've just reiterated to the players that we need to make sure we put all the negatives behind us and take the positives into Saturday.

"Their away form, considering how far they have to travel for most away games, has been pretty good."
