TEAMtalk's Numbers Game selects a 7/2 Value Bet in the Championship and hopes to follow up last week's winning Banker with a solid 10/11 shot.

@MattPBriggs was left licking his wounds last week as his 7/1 Value Bet, Sunderland, crashed at Chelsea. The Black Cats were more than a match for the Blues and should have returned with at least a point, but Martin O'Neill must have run over a black cat as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat. There was better news with the 8/11 Banker, as Cheltenham did the business against Aldershot, while the Treatment Room pointers were bang on the money. Newcastle (8/11), Norwich (11/4) and West Ham (7/5) all won and the treble returned at 15/1. Our Traders' View also proved to be spot on with Sky Bet keen to lay Liverpool and Leicester. The Reds drew at home to Stoke and Leicester also failed to win on home soil, losing to Barnsley.

Our pointers are back this week with Ipswich (7/2) fancied to upset the apple cart at Leeds and Southampton outlined as our 10/11 Banker. There are also five value-priced Hot-Shots, two Steamers and the Treatment Room looks for another 100 per cent weekend with two more selections.

STEAMERS

Birmingham have been well supported following their run of recent good form and are now into 4/6 to beat Watford at St Andrew's.

The biggest move of the week has seen Barnet clipped into 8/5 from 11/5 to win at Northampton. With Izale McLeod leading the attack Barnet have been backed as though defeat is out of the question.

BANKER

Southampton to beat Leicester at 10/11 (Mon).

The Saints are top of the Championship and are strong at home, winning 11 of 13 games at St Mary's. They can see off the Foxes, who have lost two of their last three away from home in the league.

WHO'S HOT

Derby (7/2) have won their last five games and travel to Burnley (5/6).

Cheltenham (8/11) have won their last three and are 10 games unbeaten in League Two and host Bristol R (4/1).

Carlisle (2/3) are seven games unbeaten in League One and host Walsall (4/1).

Swindon (2/5) have won their last three League Two games and host Macclesfield (7/1).

Tottenham (16/5) are nine games unbeaten and travel to Man City (5/6) (Sun).

WHO'S NOT

West Brom (16/5) have lost their last three Premier League games and travel to Stoke (10/11).

Wycombe (13/10) have lost their last four League One games and host Rochdale (21/10).

Millwall (23/10) have lost their last three Championship games and travel to Barnsley (6/5).

Port Vale (5/2) have lost their last four League Two games and travel to Rotherham (21/10).

Aldershot (8/5) have lost their last three games and host Accrington (13/8).

Wolves (7/5) are seven games without a win in the Premier League and host Aston Villa (19/10).

QPR (evens) have lost their last three and are nine without a win in the Premier League and host Wigan (11/4).

Burton (11/5) have lost their last three League Two games and travel to Bradford (6/5).

Rochdale (21/10) are seven games without a win in League One and travel to Wycombe (13/10).

Chesterfield (100/30) are 17 league games without a win and travel to Colchester (4/5).

TRADERS' VIEW

Sky Bet feel Chelsea look plenty short enough this weekend at 4/7 to beat Norwich at Carrow Road. "Chelsea were far from impressive in their win over Sunderland and were hanging on towards the end, though Fernando Torres did show glimpses that he could be regaining his sharpness."

Another side the online layers will lay is Everton. "Blackburn showed great spirit last week with 10 men are there are big signs that all the players are fully behind Steve Kean. 8/15 on a Everton side that struggles for goals surely is one you can afford to leave off your weekend coupon."

BOGEY TEAMS

Man Utd (6/4) have won seven and lost one of their last nine against Arsenal (7/5) in all competitions (Sun).

Liverpool (8/13) have won the last 10 Premier League games v Bolton (5/1).

Stoke (10/11) have won eight and lost none of their last 10 league meetings v WBA (16/5).

Everton (8/15) have won four of their last five Premier League games v Blackburn (11/2).

Birmingham (2/3) have won six of last seven at home to Watford (11/2).

Leeds (4/5) have only won one of last six at home to Ipswich (7/2).

Peterborough (evens) have failed to win any of last eight at home to Brighton (11/4).

Nottm Forest (9/2) have only won one of last 12 visits to West Ham (4/7).

Bury (evens) have won five of the seven meetings v Yeovil (11/4).

Sheff Weds (8/15) won six of seven home games v Hartlepool (5/1).

Wycombe (13/10) have only won one of six home games v Rochdale (21/10).

Huddersfield (2/3) have only won one of last nine home games v Brentford (4/1).

Chelsea (4/7) have won the last five meetings with Norwich in all competitions (5/1).

VALUE BET

Ipswich to beat Leeds at 7/2.

Ipswich played well last week against Blackpool and should have won but relinquished a two-goal lead to draw 2-2. They will be boosted by return to fitness of Jimmy Bullard, while Grant Leadbitter and Damien Delaney could also be back. Meanwhile, Leeds have struggled against 10 men in their last two games - drawing at Crystal Palace and beating Burnley at Elland Road. They were fortunate to beat the Clarets and the Ken Bates protests might see the Whites take their eye off the ball.

HOT-SHOTS

Norwich's Steve Morison has scored in his last three and is 5/2 to net v Chelsea.

Swansea's Nathan Dyer has scored in his last three and is 9/2 to net at Sunderland.

Wolves' Steven Fletcher has netted three in his last five and is 11/8 to score at home to Aston Villa.

Sheff Utd's Ched Evans has five goals in five games and is 7/4 to score at Charlton.

Hereford's Yoann Arquin has three goals in four games and is 11/4 to score at Oxford.

TREATMENT ROOM

Blackpool to beat Crystal Palace at 4/5.

Barry Ferguson and Matt Gilks return for Blackpool, who have lost just once in eight games. Visiting Palace will be without striker Sean Scannell.

Rotherham to beat Port Vale at 21/20.

Out-of-form Vale will be without centre-back Gareth Owen and Marc Richards is carrying an ankle injury. Richard Naylor and Scott Griffiths will hope to make their bows for the Millers. FAMOUS LAST WORDS

Wycombe to beat Rochdale at 13/10.

Wycombe boss Gary Waddock could not believe that his side returned home from Preston without any points after last week's 3-2 defeat. "Decisions have cost us. We could have gone two goals up [with the disallowed goal], and even from Preston's technical area they've said it's a goal," said Waddock. "That could have put us in a good position, but saying all of that, we did have chances we should have taken in the first half and we've conceded from set plays which has been our problem all season. It's bitterly disappointing - not the performance, because the performance was good, but it's bitterly disappointing not to get anything."

Aldershot to beat Accrington at 8/5.

Shots boss Dean Holdsworth speaking after last week's 2-0 defeat at Cheltenham, said: "It is a bittersweet feeling at the moment. We have put in a performance like that and we have created a number of chances and played some excellent stuff. I asked for that before the game but if you would have said we would create that many chances and not score then it would have been difficult to believe. We are just that cutting edge away from winning games and that is such a fine line. We were in control of the game but they have had one breakaway and scored."
