St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson has revealed that star performer Andy Dorman has been ruled out until January with a hamstring injury.
The Buddies' midfielder lasted only 19 minutes of the 3-1 Scottish Premier League defeat by Celtic at Parkhead on Saturday before being replaced by Michael Higdon.
MacPherson admits the loss of the highly-rated Dorman is a blow as he forecasted the imminent return of Steven Robb and Mo Camara.
Midfielder Robb's last game was in September but he is fit again after recovering from a groin injury while defender Camara, who has been sidelined since August, is back training following knee surgery.
"Andy Dorman will be out for a wee while due to a tear in his hamstring - we reckon four to six weeks so it will most likely be January before we see him again," MacPherson told the club's website.
"It isn't good news for Andy or the team but it is something that we will just have to deal with and get on with.
"Steven Robb and Mo Camara are just short of fitness.
"We had hoped to play a bounce game today but that was cancelled due to the weather. "So while Steven and Mo are back training now and working towards fitness we may find ourselves in the situation where they take part in actual games to attain that final fitness.
"It isn't ideal but because of the size of the squad it may be something that we will have to look at."
