Carlisle boss Greg Abbott is happy his side extended their unbeaten run after being pegged back in a 1-1 home draw with Walsall.
Walsall skipper Andy Butler was caught in possession by Carlisle winger Jon-Paul McGovern, who set up Lee Miller for a seventh-minute goal, but Butler won the 81st-minute penalty which enabled Alex Nicholls to fire home the equaliser on his 200th appearance for the Saddlers.
Abbott said: "We looked a bit leggy in the closing stages. The manner in which we conceded the goal was disappointing, but at least we kept our unbeaten record going.
"We needed a second goal when the ball was whizzing around in the box, but it didn't come. We did not quite reach the level we've been producing in the last few weeks."
On the penalty decision when defender Frank Simek sent Butler sprawling on the edge of the box, Abbott added: "The ref said it was a definite push. The players didn't think it looked like that but he has given the penalty."
