Gillingham have completed the signing of striker Jo Kuffour from Bristol Rovers on a permanent deal until the end of the season.
Kuffour, 30, bagged seven goals for Gills during a three-month loan stay which ended at the start of this year.
And manager Andy Hessenthaler is delighted to have landed his number one January target, telling the club's official website: "He did very well for us in his loan spell and it's a big boost to be able to bring him back."
Kuffour has been struggling with bronchitis since returning to the Memorial Stadium upon the completion of his loan period.
He will be included in Gillingham's squad for Saturday's trip to Shrewsbury although his fitness will be closely monitored.
