Brighton have completed the signings of full-backs Joe Mattock and Gonzalo Jara on season-long loans from West Brom.

Manager Gus Poyet brought Chile international Jara, 26, to the south coast earlier in the season when he made four appearances before being recalled by the Baggies.

Mattock, 21, recently had a spell at Portsmouth, where he made seven league appearances.

Poyet told Brighton's official website: "We all know Jara's qualities from his previous spell here and with Joe coming in also we have excellent options in defence.

"Joe has good experience of the Championship and is a player we have followed for some time."
